NGINX Tuning For Best Performance

Install NGINX

sudo yum install nginx -y

Install PHP and PHP-FPM

sudo yum install php -y

sudo yum install php-fpm -y

Configure NGINX (see below)

sudo nano /etc/nginx/conf.d/default.conf

server {
    listen 80;
    server_name www.exampledomain.tld exampledomain.tld;

    location / {...

Update packages

sudo apt-get update

Install nginx

sudo apt-get install -y nginx

Enable and start nginx

sudo systemctl enable nginx && systemctl start nginx

Install PHP8.1 and PHP8.1-FPM + some important modules

sudo apt-get install php8.1-cli php8.1-fpm php8.1-curl php8.1-gd php8.1-mys...

First define virtual path called virtualfolder. It can be any name actually. Then define subfilter what replaces slash with virtualfolder name.

location /virtualfolder/ {

        sub_filter "/" "/virtualfolder/";
}

Any url in location will become /virtualfolder/
